Priyanka combines her experience in state government and public interest advocacy to defend gun-safety laws against Second Amendment and other constitutional challenges.
Priyanka supports state and local governments in defending gun-safety laws from constitutional challenges through advice, direct representation, and amicus support.
Before joining Everytown, Priyanka served as an Assistant Attorney General for the Illinois Attorney General’s office, where she represented the state in complex civil appeals and collaborated with other states to file amicus briefs in matters of national importance. She also assisted state attorneys general in their advocacy before the Supreme Court as a fellow for the National Association of Attorneys General and advocated for under-resourced communities as an appellate fellow at the Legal Aid Society of D.C. Prior to those experiences, she served as a law clerk for Judge Judith Rogers of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit and Judge Richard Roberts of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
