Glock must face city of Chicago lawsuit over ease of machine gun conversion

Chicago, IL (Reuters) – Glock must face a lawsuit filed by the city of Chicago over claims it knowingly sells pistols that can be easily converted into illegal machine guns often used in criminal activity, an Illinois state court judge said Thursday.

The gun maker and two Chicago area firearms retailers lost their bid to dismiss the lawsuit after Cook County Circuit Court Judge Allen Walker rejected their argument that the city’s claims are barred by a federal law that shields gunmakers and sellers from most liability if their products are misused.
